It’s only fitting that our first wedding post highlights the first couple who ever booked with us (not to be confused with the first wedding we ever hosted - hi George + Jessi!). But we’re suckers for milestones in our meadows, whether we’re celebrating yours or ours, and will take any excuse to commemorate something.

If memory serves me, Heron Hall was lacking a washroom, cement floor, and even a roof when Jake + Dale decided to book The Meadows. Thankfully for us, there were market-lights in their eyes instead of stars when they decided to trust our vision and combine it with their own.

If it weren’t for the epic umbrella shots by Kivus & Camera, we might have forgotten the gusts and wind chill from their wedding day; Jake + Dale, their families and bridal party, and their stellar wedding planner created a seamless day with nothing but smiles and joy. I’d say more about the importance of loving your rain plan and indoor options, but the Father of the Groom summed it up eloquently in his rehearsal dinner toast:

“Anyone can have fun in good weather…it takes real pros to have fun in shitty weather”
- Father of the Groom

And fewer things proved their “professionalism” than this family photo; yeah, I think they know how to have a good time.

From unique bridal party formals (note Jake’s sister), to sentimental stained glass as their altar accent and single-stems for the bridesmaids, Dale + Jake’s weekend at The Meadows was full of color and sunshine (despite what the weatherman said). Congratulations on year 1 of marriage!
