While minimal walls, wide spaces, and floor to ceiling glass windows are an easy aesthetic choice, our al fresco hall now serves as much function as form. We welcome your open air affaire and offer well-weathered solutions to any forecast + plenty of space to cut the rug. In short, we’ll bring the “distance” so you can bring the “social”.

Heron Hall includes four distinct spaces that blend seamlessly together if desired or can be sectioned off for more intimate gatherings. For an added bonus, we have two wow-inspiring washrooms, to boot. See our descriptions + visual guide, below.
MAIN HALL
Home of our notorious custom designed windows! The front wall features roll-up garage doors, while the back wall hosts sky-high panes that accentuate a lofty, dense forest beyond. A repurposed ladder hangs horizontally to grace a head table, sweetheart table, cake table, lounge set, dance floor, or any other concept you can conjure. Bare boned or decked with florals, it’s a timeless feature that is equal parts versatile, timeless, and innovative.
While your floor plan is largely determined by party size, many couples opt to use the Main Hall as dinner + dancing + dessert. Combinations include head table at the tall windows, dessert under the hanging ladder, and dance floor near the garage doors. To take advantage of the indoor - outdoor venue feel, roll up the garage doors and extend our live edge poplar slab tables out onto our pitch-roofed patio. Market lights and a light breeze are two of the best accessories to grace any dinner table!

While the Main Hall is a popular inclement weather ceremony plan, it is also a first choice for some couples! Both the ladder and the tall windows make for a stunning and customizable backdrop. A perk to having your ceremony indoors is reusing your floral install, as so colorfully done in the featured design below by Chad Biggs Event Planning.
The Main Hall seats 160 indoors and 300 with the Patio.
PATIO
The patio is often used to extend your dinner reservations into the great outdoors. It makes the perfect giant Jenga or chess board, shaded cocktail reception space, and more. Leave it blank and let guests wander beneath the market lights at night or deck it to the nines with floral installs, food buffets, and then some. It offers light weather protection, too.

THE COURTYARD
First to note is the stunning chevron brick inlay, designed with 100+ year old materials rescued from a local farm house. This space connects the Main Hall to the Cantina without subjecting your guests to any unexpected rain showers; it has now been closed in to account for weather and to complete a seamless event. We’ve been thrilled with some of the creative uses of the walkway: as central to the entire space, it’s one of the first sights when guests walk in to your reception.

THE CANTINA
Fun from the moment you walk up. The Cantina has (almost) too many features to mention, the least of which is our well loved indoor-outdoor bar. The outdoor portion is topped with a green roof and plant species sourced from our meadows! Market lights are strung inside and out for extra charm, and reclaimed wood barn doors grace the back brick wall. Often used for cocktail hour (perfect if you need to flip the Main Hall post ceremony), or the dance floor, The Cantina is all rhythm & heart.

The space is versatile, and we understand that upfront that can feel intimidating when you’re still sorting through making your Zola account go active. We’ve seen so many stunning designs and are here to help with all of the brainstorming! Whether you want to replicate a popular setup or customize the space to a new idea, working with our team + any of our preferred planners ensures a creative use for the space.
We can’t wait to host you in Heron Hall at The Meadows, a wedding venue in Raleigh, NC.
