It’s always fascinating to explore how light, in it’s presence or it’s absence, helps shape our reaction to and memories of spaces, moments, relationships; Adam Chapin is particularly gifted at using black & white imagery in a way that yields discovery. Michelle & Sam’s gallery came back with no shortage of stunning, saturated, and colorful shots, but today’s Notebook entry is dedicated to the feeling that comes so clearly through the monochromatic moments.

From the ease of the tears to the laughter, it was an honor to host such a grounded and joyful wedding at our wedding venue in Raleigh, The Meadows. Prepare to be crying by the time you get to the first look photos, too.
