Is there anything sweeter than a waffle cake at a wedding? Well, yes. An EGGO cake at the Stranger Things inspired wedding of Nancy & Steve.
The inspiration for this shoot was born of Kaitlyn Blake’s desire to see Nancy + Steve tie-the-knot and create some nailed baseball bat wielding babies. Things might be feeling a little “Upside Down” after the finale of Season 3 (and also with the start of mercury in retrograde today, on Halloween?!) so we present to you both potential versions of their wedding day.
I
nstead of a full blown 80’s vibe, Lallier Events & Kaitlyn Blake took the “big bang” out of the hairdo and saved it for some stunning details. They kept things sleek, classic, and contemporary while still throwing in several nods to the show. Their aim is to inspire couples who want to thread small inspirations from a favorite show, movie, or book throughout their day, without having a themed wedding. We couldn’t love this concept more, especially after seeing the most elegant Jurassic Park elements incorporated into another recent Meadow’s wedding - more to come on that soon!

Everything comes together in the details; this is true for a modern Stranger Things styled shoot and for your wedding day. As you scroll, try and spot where the Demogorgon made an appearance! The Perfect Palette also featured this work, calling the whole setup “epic”. Accurate, but I’d probably use the word gnarly - who doesn’t love the 80’s?
